Urbanization
The mid 1800s saw a major growth of industry called the Industrial Revolution. The invention of the steam engine as a source of energy and othe machinery meant factories could be produced almost anywhere. The industrial revolution in the 19th century, which led to the mass production or goods, resulted in decreased costs of these manufactured goods and improved living conditions of these manufactured goods and improve living conditions for the people, because of the affordable consumer goods. When the living conditions of the people started to improve and there was also a big requirement of the people for various jobs at the factories, there started a mass migration of immigrants, from the rural areas to the cities, is what is reffered to as urbanization during the industrial revoltion.
The urbanization affected the enviroment, because lots of imigrants shifted to the cities in order to work in factories. The tremendous rise in population lead to air and water pollution. New social classes emerged because of the urbanization during the industrial revolution. Because of the industrialization the entrepreneurs also the buisness people gained enormous wealth. People who had immigrated to the cities, found it very difficult to adjust to the unknow enviroment. most of the people were adjusted to staying and working on their own farms, where basic necessities of life, such as water and food were accessible easily. But due to unprecendented population growth in the cities, even something as simple as water needes for the people were not met, because of population growth.
Industrialization and Urbanization caused a lot of changes in the family structures as well. Men started to work in factories and their wadges were much higher than womens wadges. Children were thought of as a source of low cos labor. Due to urbanization, different people who followed different cultures and traditions came together to live in the cities. Through time, these cultural values which expressed these people, began to fade. Because of the industrialization low wadges, long hour jobs, and their entire being was at the fate of the factory owners.
